HOME CONTEST ABOUT US EVENTS LINKS
Welcome to the home of the Coastal Carolina Modelers Association. We are an IPMS chartered chapter and an AMPS affiliate chapter.

The November Meeting: We had a fun time at the November meeting. There was a nice selection of finished models on display. Bill Garner had his Sherman Firefly and Japanese Type 61 tanks, both of which were award winners at the contest in Fayetteville. Chris Thomas had his large vinyl Godzilla figure, another award winner. This version is from the original 1954 movie. Roy Johnson brought along an FW-190, and guest Andrew Grimball had his German gun and crew figures vignette. Both models were very well done. Dave Corvino's Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea was the Model of the Month Winner. The Christmas meeting was discussed. The meeting will be held on December 13. We will have the usual feast, so bring a food item with you. We will also have the normal model of the month, and the annual Model of the Year. So bring your model of the month entry AND the one model you have built this year that you feel is the best work you have done in 2008. We will also have the Christmas gift exchange. This is entirely voluntary. If you want to take part in the gift exchange then bring a wrapped gift with you. Minimum value is $20.00. Please do not bring something that is considered a gag gift. Give a gift that you would like to receive. Finally, we will be bringing the Battle of the Bulge/Operation Boddenplatte models together for the first time. So don't forget to bring your club project model with you. See you on December 13 for the best model club meeting of the year!
